Beneath the towering bleached ribs of a dead, ancient beast lies New Crobuzon, a squalid city where humans, Re-mades, and arcane races live in perpetual fear of Parliament and its brutal militia. The air and rivers are thick with factory pollutants and the strange effluents of alchemy, and the ghettos contain a vast mix of workers, artists, spies, junkies, and whores. In New Crobuzon, the unsavory deal is stranger to none--not even to Isaac, a brilliant scientist with a penchant for Crisis Theory. Isaac has spent a lifetime quietly carrying out his unique research. But when a half-bird, half-human creature known as the Garuda comes to him from afar, Isaac is faced with challenges he has never before fathomed. Though the Garuda's request is scientifically daunting, Isaac is sparked by his own curiosity and an uncanny reverence for this curious stranger. While Isaac's experiments for the Garuda turn into an obsession, one of his lab specimens demands attention: a brilliantly colored caterpillar that feeds on nothing but a hallucinatory drug and grows larger--and more consuming--by the day. What finally emerges from the silken cocoon will permeate every fiber of New Crobuzon--and not even the Ambassador of Hell will challenge the malignant terror it invokes . . . A magnificent fantasy rife with scientific splendor, magical intrigue, and wonderfully realized characters, told in a storytelling style in which Charles Dickens meets Neal Stephenson, Perdido Street Station offers an eerie, voluptuously crafted world that will plumb the depths of every reader's imagination.Praise for Perdido Street Station " A] phantasmagoric masterpiece . . . The book left me breathless with admiration."--Brian Stableford "China Mi ville's cool style has conjured up a triumphantly macabre technoslip metropolis with a unique atmosphere of horror and fascination."--Peter Hamilton "It is the best steampunk novel since Gibson and Sterling's."--John Clute

Sometimes Size Does Matter
Scent: Alpine & Spice, Scent: Alpine & Spice
Let me just get this out of the way now the soap itself smells decent, nothing wrong there. I only wish I got another cent. Not that this one smells bad it’s just it wasn’t my cup of tea. I’m mostly disappointed about the size because I’ve been through this before. The soaps themselves are not big enough to fill out the box as you can spot in some of the pictures and video. I honestly feel like the soap size was different in the pictures of the customer reviews that I saw. Each bar may last me a week and a half and that’s with a soap saver. To be honest, the box that it came in would fit two decent size soaps if they filled out the box.

An excellent value for a luxurious long-lasting daily necessity
Scent: Lavender
Lovely soap with a pleasant fragrance and great lather. Real lavender buds give it an exfoliating quality without any roughness or redness. Product lasts and lasts so this crate is a true bargain. It truly is a 5 star product - I would give it 6 stars or more if possible.
I use it for facial care and am very happy with the luxurious sensation of self-care every time.

Very good bar soap
Scent: Alpine & Spice
I have been using this bar soap for about two years now. I continue to use it because of the ingredients, the way it’s manufactured, and because of how it feels on my skin in the shower and afterwards. I have only used the “no grit” flavors. The scents are ok, nothing special or exciting. Some of them barely have any scent whatsoever, and some of them have a mild scent. But none of the flavors I have tried have a strong scent, and none of the scents are bad or offensive. The lather is excellent really good lather. My skin always feels clean, hydrated, and healthy after showering with all flavors of this soap. Love this stuff. Crate 61 customer support is excellent.

Organic made.
Scent: eucamint
The smells are soothing in these soaps. They lather well and the price is affordable, especially for organically made.
